Operation Iceberg Issues Statement on Godhead Controversy

In 2014, a collection of Seventh-day Adventist laity and church workers were drawn together to address a surge of mystical spirituality flooding into the SDA Church.

Under the name Operation Iceberg, we have conducted symposiums on three continents to conscientiously expose this dangerous trend.  We remain united by our love for the Adventist Message, and a commitment to resist emergent/mystical spirituality throughout the world church.

Operation Iceberg has a website www.operationiceberg.com that serves as an archive for symposium presentations, audio & video recordings, and general information regarding progressive spirituality in Adventism.

It has come to our attention that a Facebook Page bearing the name 'Operation Iceberg' is being used to promote an anti-trinitarian position.  That is not us, and this is our unified statement:

Statement

We support the Fundamental Beliefs of the Church, including Belief #2 and the Heavenly Trio described therein.  Operation Iceberg does not support the anti-trinitarian viewpoint, and we disavow any association with it.  Truth may have its defectors, but let us cling to the One who will “never leave us, nor forsake us” (Hebrews 13:5).

"They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us.  But they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us" (1 John 2:19).
