Strong words? Yes, and they are accurate words, based on a Gender Identity brochure issued by the Adventist Health Feather River facility in Paradise California.
When we exchange biblical truth for popular (but incorrect) ideology in order to receive money, we are essentially selling truth to the highest bidder. The Bible premise is that mankind was created male and/or female, these two genders alone comprising the imago dei and capable of "being fruitful and multiplying" (Genesis 1:28). To change this reality, is to risk offending the Creator God--Judge of all the Earth.
We apologize for the faint lighting on this brochure, but are pleased that it is legible enough to read and understand.
Non-Discrimination Policy - Patients
"As a recipient of Federal financial assistance, Adventist Health Feather River will provide an environment for patients that is free from discrimination and will not exclude or treat people differently because of their ability to pay, age, color, creed, disability, gender identity or [gender] expression, language, marital status, national origin, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, transgender status, type of insurance, or veteran's status when delivering care, treatment, services and benefits for inpatients and outpatients including assignments or transfers within the facility and referrals to or from the facility directly or through contractual or other arrangements."
By identifying gender dysphoria (which is a moral sickness) with various civil rights, Adventist Health capitulates to the argument that such sinful deceptions are intrinsic expressions of one's identity. In other words, changing your biological identity from the one you were created with is a new 'reality' that ought to be accepted, and admired.
Welcome to the new hyper-liberal NAD Adventist paradigm, fashioned lucratively after the manner of the world. If it can be profitable, it cannot be criticized.
We believe we can serve people better by being truthful with them and never attaching a price tag to that truth. How do you see it?
"So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. "So He will make them stumble over their own tongue; All who see them shall flee away" (Psalm 63:2; 64:8).
