This is an excellent version of the message Eric Metaxas has for the American Church, which is:
You have a Christian duty to fight evil
That duty applies even if it involves “politics” (as, for example, William Wilberforce’s campaign against the slave trade)
Faith without works is dead, so don’t pretend that all you have to do is “believe” while the world falls into evil around you.
Things are much worse than you think; you should be a lot more frightened than you are about what is happening in our country right now. (Okay, Metaxas did not say that; he actually says “fear not, and be of good courage.” I, on the other hand, am extremely alarmed about what is happening in America right now; I think people are grossly ignorant of history, and do not realize how close we are to the Gulag [concentration camps, for those ignorant of the history of socialism].)
