VERMONT—A liberal arts college (Middlebury) in Vermont reverted to remote learning until the close of the fall semester due to 49 COVID cases on campus. Final exams, which were scheduled to wrap up by Sunday, will be administered remotely, and students, 99% of whom are fully vaccinated, are encouraged to leave campus early.
Observations
On the plus side, students won’t be able to assault any more conservative speakers they disagree with.
Middlebury students were one of the first student bodies to riot when President Trump was elected. Even before Berkeley. Imagine that . . .
On September 25, 2020, Middlebury students staged a Breonna Taylor (someone they had never met) protest. In June 2020, the College biology department issued a Statement in support of Black Lives Matter, and committed the school to anti-racism and critical race theory.
Democrat liberals (Bernie, Pelosi, AOC etc..) want college debts cleared. I have a better idea: People who go to liberal Arts College can pay their own tuition. A majority of individuals in college nowadays are there to party and get a degree in something they will never use. College is way overrated, unless you really need to be educated as a doctor etc. If you must go to college, there a lot of awesome colleges and universities in Florida and Texas.
A good trade or skill, can earn considerably more than the average college education, and not lay a heavy burden of debt upon you.
Middlebury has an enrollment of 2,526. Aren’t the vaccines working? 99% of the students at Middlebury are vaccinated and they have lots of boosters. But fear prevails.
