Charlie Kirk: The Sabbath Predates The Ten Commandments, and TikTok is Evil

Last week, Charlie Kirk held an event for college students as part of his Educate, Don’t Mandate Tour. He was accompanied by Allie Beth Stuckey, a Christian Commentator and founder of a Facebook page called The Conservative Millennial.

During the Q&A time, a young man asked for Charlie’s opinion of TikTok, a video-focused social networking service from China.

After offering his opinion of TikTok (which was not high), Charlie went on to tell the audience about his experience of keeping the Sabbath from Friday night to Saturday night. He and his wife discovered the Sabbath truth in their personal Bible study and began keeping it in late 2021.

During the Sabbath hours, he shuts his phone off and puts it in a drawer where he will not be distracted by it.

He invited the audience to observe the Sabbath, saying it will make your life better, and it was important enough that God made it one of the Ten Commandments. He also said the Sabbath predates the Law of God [at Sinai] for God Himself rested on it after creation.

Kirk said if every young person would observe the Sabbath, anxiety would go down, depression would go down, you would spend time with people you care about and meaningful conversations would happen.

This man is under serious conviction regarding God’s Sabbath rest, and he is being obedient to it. What can we learn from his enthusiasm and commitment towards the Sabbath?
