Christian College in Florida Cancels Concert Over Homosexual Lifestyle Of Singer

PENSACOLA—Over the last few weeks, Pensacola Christian College has been labeled hateful, homophobic, and intolerant for cancelling a music concert after learning that one of the members of the renowned UK singing group is homosexual.

News sources, Twitter mobs and social media outlets throughout the western world are condemning the school. This is how far our society has declined to the point that everyone, regardless of beliefs and convictions, must accept and embrace homosexuality.

According to WKRG, the King’s Singers are out of a gig after Pensacola Christian College decided to cancel their performance due to the lifestyle of one of the artists “contradicting Scripture.”

According to a statement posted on the college’s Facebook page, the college “cannot knowingly give an implied or direct endorsement of anything that violates the Holy Scripture, the foundation for our sincerely held beliefs.” Good for them.

“At the same time, the college also recognizes everyone is created in the image of God and should be afforded the dignity of kindness,” the college said in their statement. Click here to continue reading.

According to a NY Times article, Jonathan Howard (a member of the group) said that actually two members of the group are “gay.”

From a student at the college,

I am a member of Campus Safety and Security, and while we were briefed on how to respond to the protests that were planned, praise the LORD that nothing came of them! Yet.

Dr. Shoemaker explained everything to us in a special chapel on Monday: the King’s Singers were treated with the utmost respect, and were paid in full for the time they lost, even though they were not allowed to perform. Dr. Shoemaker said that they parted on good terms and that both sides were courteous. The reason the group was performing without a vetting process is that they had performed here a number of years ago, and were rescheduled at that time, before they had a homosexual member. Our vetting process will be better from now on.

We have lost count how many woke-leaning venues have cancelled Christian speakers and other conservative individuals. That’s ok. But don’t you DARE cancel a LGBTQ person.
