SDA Pastor in Minnesota Released From Employment Over His Beliefs Regarding LGBTQ

In what appears to be his final sermon, Adam Breiner, pastor of Andover SDA Church in Minnesota says this,

"I'll just say it and then I'll continue talking.  This is the last Sabbath that I'll be here at Andover SDA Church.  The conference and I are in agreement that what I need to do as a pastor in pastoral Ministry does not fit with the structure as it currently is in The Seventh-Day Adventist denomination.  And that is to reach out specifically to people who are gay and transgender so that they can experience the dignity and Grace and filling of the Holy Spirit in ways that they are currently not able to successfully do within the structure as it currently is in The Seventh-Day Adventist Church."

The part where he says this (and more) is 1:07:13—1:11:28.

It sounds like Adam Breiner’s views on the LGBTQ issue are not compatible with the beliefs of the SDA church.  If this is the case, the Minnesota Conference is to be commended for making the decision to excuse him from church employ.

Yesterday, Fulcrum7 reached out to the Minnesota Conference President and ministerial director for their confirmation of this development. We have received no response yet.
