The Truth About the Final Generation (It's Not What You Think)

Mark Finley talks about why Last Generation Theology is not only biblical, but absolutely essential for understanding God’s final work on Earth.

Revelation declares that God will have a people whose hearts are fully loyal, whose lives reflect Christ’s character, and whose obedience flows from grace not legalism. For many, this topic is misunderstood, misrepresented, or dismissed. But Scripture paints a clear picture: God is shaping a final generation who trust Jesus so deeply that His character shines through them even in Earth’s darkest hour.

When I came into the church in 1988, it was apparent to me after—studying the Advent Message for two years trying to disprove it—that the Lord would do something special in the lives of people at the time of the end.

Down through the ages, there has been only one thing strong enough to eternally cement your decision for Christ. Your death.

The people alive when Jesus returns do not have the luxury of their death to seal their decision for Christ. They must have something else to seal their decision. They have an experience with Jesus, constructed on the immovable foundation of love and trust in Him. Obedience is the outflow of that commitment; they are complete in Him (Colossians 2:10). Bypassing death, they are airlifted from earth to heaven by the mighty power of God (Ephesians 6:10; 2 Corinthians 12:9).
