A graph is worth a thousand words. In the overwhelming majority of academic disciplines, over 90% of the professors are of the Left. Only in a few of the harder sciences—Physics, Math, Computer Science, Chemistry, Engineering—does the Left’s percentage drop below 90%. Only in engineering is there anything even approaching a reasonable balance, and even there the Left has 61% of the professoriate.
Note that religion faculties are 98.6% Marxist. Nothing like formal religious training to unfit someone to preach the gospel.
This explains a lot.
