When All Else Fails, Stage An International Climate Rebellion

`Ello me lads! Churchmouse here, back in my posh ivy-covered study after an extended trip to Estonia, Inverness, and all points north.

The trip, powered by luxurious fossil fuels, was just the thing for a roving Limey looking to forget about the global guilt trip over climate panic. Estonia was a tad cool and breezy, but a jolly good show nonetheless. Breakfast in Scotland was the full monty, minus the sausages and black pudding, not unlike the grub in Folkstone.

Aside from the grievous misfortune of sharing a train seat with a Yankee from Vermont, the trip was delightful. The Yankee, a bit plump like most Americans, had trouble minding the gap between us on the tube seat. He did not fail to offend at almost every opportunity, and after four hours I began to have visions of a Leylandii hedge between us. There’s only so many “Your accent is so cool” and “Did you attend Will and Kate’s wedding!!?” outbursts that a man can endure.. While he probably meant well, I would have cheerfully paid 10 quid for a seat by myself, to avoid this gobermouch. But I digress..

International Climate Rebellion

Climate alarmists—who ricochet from one pinball panic bumper to the next—are staging an International Rebellion on October 7th, 2019. That’s the date that the climate and ecological activists plan to begin occupations in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Toronto and New York.

Extinction Rebellion (XR) is a socio-political movement with the stated aim of using civil disobedience to protest Climate Change. It began on October 31, 2018, founded by contemptible blighters Roger Hallam and Gail Bradbrook, both radical environmental activists. Hallam (along with 18-other people) was was arrested this past Saturday for attempting to shut down Heathrow Airport by flying drones in the exclusion zone around runways. He claimed that “Heathrow Airport constitutes a crime against humanity, and the next generation.” It’s a good thing my trip ended last Tuesday, else I might have been tempted to belabor the scoundrel about the head and shoulders with my Boris Palatnik walking stick. Just tempted, mind you.

Extinction Rebellion is calling for immediate rebellion on global warming / climate change, to force governments to act now on climate and ecological emergency.

The demonstration is set to be part of a wider "International Rebellion" protest, the group says, with similar events being planned in Paris, Berlin, Toronto and New York. So far, more than 3,000 people have registered interest on the group's Facebook event listing for London. Many more have signed up for similar “rebellions” in France, Holland, Canada, and the United States. These rebellious blighters from separate continents are united on the notion that humanity is a “radical evil” unless it retches with the same enthusiasm of these green Nazi’s.

How does an entire subset of whiffle-waffle humans, Labor Party notwithstanding, come to the conclusion that the glorious fossil-fueled inventions of humanity are the original sin? Answer:

They are Brainwashed

Brainwashing isn’t a secretive event that takes place in hidden rooms. I know a bit about this practice, having served Scotland Yard a couple of times in a previous pre-Adventist life. No hypnotists or vials full of chemicals are required. It takes place every day on a massive scale across the United Kingdom and the States.

Unlike Raymond Shaw in The Manchurian Candidate, brainwashing does not turn people into hypnotized zombies who would be ready to kill a presidential candidate or Brexit enthusiast at a command. Instead, it transforms them into the sort of people who would be willing to harm or kill someone for political reasons. And global warming is the spot-on political colossus of our times, uniting the world’s flibbertigibbets and gnashnabs under the green swastika of violent religious fervor.

Brainwashing happens every day. It doesn’t have to mean a complete transformation of identity. On the simplest level, it means compelling someone to believe something that isn’t true. Think Greta Thunberg and her truant global classmates.

The key elements of brainwashing are present in that cold room with the peeling paint on the walls, and in the fresco’d annals of western media and academics. Brainwashing’s three elements are control, crisis and emotional resonance. To successfully brainwash someone, you have to control their environment (pun intended), force a crisis on them, and then tap into core emotions, fear, love, guilt, hate, shame, and guide them through the crisis by accepting and internalizing a new belief. It’s a green conversion they’re after, me lads, a one-way check valve through which you surrender your biblical worldview and join the forced march to the “High places” of green pagan bondage (Deut 12:2; 1 Kings 14:23; 2 Kings 16:4, 17:10; Isaiah 57:5; Jeremiah 2:20, Romans 1:25).

The belief can be anything, but the pseudo-religious ritual taps into an emotional core requiring them to believe that they were bad people, and that by accepting this new belief, they are now good people.

This false conversion is the essence of brainwashing and of leftist political awakening narratives, like the climate crisis.

The human mind, like the human body, adapts to a crisis with a fight-or-flight response. Brainwashing forces the mind into a flight response. Once in flight mode, the mind can rationalize a new belief as a protective behavior that will keep it safe. Even when, as in the case of the suspect, the new belief will actually destroy his life. Fight or flight mode inhibits long term thinking. In panic mode, destructive and suicidal behaviors seem like solutions because they offer an escape from unbearable chemical stresses.

How do you Brainwash a Nation?

Simple. You control the national environment, force a crisis on the country, and tap into the collective fear and guilt of citizens. And then you can outlaw planes, cows, skyscrapers, straws, plastic bags and the rest of the Green New Deal. That’s how how leftist movements can brainwash a nation.

The growing number of millennials who say that they will not have children because of environmental panic is an example of how brainwashing can make suicidal behavior seem like self-preservation. “Be fruitful and multiply” becomes the stentorian chant of a cruel Creator. The divine dictum is discarded, along with the Book that brought us this cruel ‘lie.’

“We need less people, not more!” is the cry of a new brainwashed woke generation.

Since the Left still lacks total control over the United Kingdom and the United States, it relies on repetition, itself a form of control and stress, to create fear and panic. They repeat the lie over and over again—a cacophony of green pagan voices penetrating your reverie. It makes up for its lack of physical control by bombarding people with messages meant to inspire fear, love, hate and guilt through the media, through the educational system, through entertainment and through every possible messaging channel. 95% Of scientists agree they say. Why are you so stupid and unconcerned?

While brainwashing can create new ideas and realities, it cannot create new emotions. All it can do is amplify them and use them to induce in its subject a new belief in an altered reality. It doesn’t create guilt, shame, fear, love or hate. It amplifies, exploits and uses them as tools to create stress, force a crisis, and then transform a single belief into your entire identity.

That is why the Left cannot be defeated through policy debates and intellectual abstractions and General Conference Session votes. It is a belief system, feeding upon the host until only a skeleton remains.

A Fossil-Fuel Free World

What would happen to the UK and US today if we gave these fervid environmentalists what they want?

Within 24 hours there would be long lines at service stations as people sought to purchase remaining stocks of gasoline. The same people who denounce oil companies would be desperately scrounging the last drops of available fuel for their SUVs. By the third day, all the gasoline would be gone.

With no diesel fuel, the trucking industry would grind to a halt. Almost all retail goods in the US are delivered by trucks. Grocery shelves would begin to empty. Food production at the most basic levels would also stop.

With no trains or trucks running there would be no way to deliver either raw materials or finished products. All industrial production and manufacturing would stop. Mass layoffs would ensue. At this point, it would hardly matter. With virtually all transportation systems out, the only people who could work would be those who owned horses or were capable of walking to their places of employment.

Hospitals would operate on back-up generators until the petrol ran out. Then they would grind to a halt, along with the heartbeats of those on life support. Owners of electric cars might smirk at first, but would soon be forced to the unpleasant reality that the vehicle they thought was “emission free” runs on coal. And it runs no more.

The environmentalist’s favorite power sources, wind and solar, could not fill the gap. Wind power currently generates about 3 percent of our electricity and solar power accounts for a scant 0.04 percent. With two-thirds of the electric power gone, the electric grid would shut down entirely.

After elevated tanks of municipal water systems were depleted of drinking water in a few days, there would be no more water supply. This would force people to start looking for alternate sources, and we’d be back to a time when water treatment was unknown. Disease and death would follow for many as tainted water spreads disease. Toilets would be useless without water to flush them. Garbage collection becomes a thing of the past. Garbage will be piled high in the streets, or burned by those who still have matches.

People who may have working solar energy would be targeted by the have-nots. They might wish they had paid attention to the Second Amendment to protect their home based energy source. People who still have gasoline in their cars trying to escape cities might find themselves victims of mob attacks as the have-nots look for the last remaining bits of energy.

Al Gore will no longer be able to jet around the world to tell us how the world will end soon if we don’t pay attention to his new book about the future. He’ll be reduced to holing up in one of his many properties and hoping the Mad-Maxers don’t come for his solar panels.

The Internet would not work and it wouldn’t matter, because your dead iPhone is now a mere paperweight for those who still have paper.

City dwellers would truly experience the Urban Heat Island effect in the summer, that is when they weren’t scrounging for food and water, and fighting off the gangs who would take anything they could from them, including their life. I could go on and on, but you get the picture.

Summary

The victim of brainwashing does not understand the process by which he or she is being taken apart and put back together—until much later, if at all. If the process works as intended, he or she may never realize it happened at all. Brainwashing’s cruelest trick lies in using the intelligence of its victim as its greatest ally in building a trap for its own ego and its consciousness that it cannot escape from without a great deal of determination.

Though such a scenario traffics in abstractions, this is what the climate rebels are calling for. The esoteric language of pop culture in which they speak are vehicles for a deeper language of primal self-annihilating emotions. Behind the theories and manifestos and violent demands is a great darkness of fear and terror. And small wonder, for life without God is a life without hope, a future, and peace (Jeremiah 29:11).

That isn’t my cup of tea, nor should it be for an Adventist, looking for the Return of Christ

I hope our own Adventist rebels don’t join this International Rebellion proletariat, but they are rebels after all—and rebellion begets rebellion. Some of them will join it; I know a whole SDA church in London who probably will (Horley Gatwick).

Might I suggest, that you spend October 7th in reflection upon the peace, love, joy, mercy, justice and truth of almighty God. The contrast between the cleansing power of the Holy Spirit, and the orotund brainwashing of a fearful, corrupt generation is getting more visible all the time.
