I pray for your freedom from the freedoms you think free you, when those freedoms you seek after ultimately enslave you.
Yes, you already have the freedom of “Free Love”! Freedom for multiple partners, for adultery and porn. Freedom for same sex and sado-masochism, for polyamory, prostitution and sex trafficking... non-binary identities and pedophilia. You are free to kidnap and rape, to indulge your thoughts and to entangle them in your mind through lust and masturbation. To mutilate your biology to give it the appearance of something it can never become. That is your freedom if you choose.
Yes, you have the freedom for herpes, clamidia, and anal warts; for AIDS, abortion and oral STD’s. For disfiguring your body, chronic pain from surgeries; for morphing into an oddity; never to return to full function of the being you were born to be.
Not to mention, the freedom to lust, envy, anxiety, heartbreak, depression, suicide and murder. All the consequences of your “sexual freedom”.
You see, you got it all wrong. I do not pray for your torment. I pray that you will experience the love that satisfies. A love that draws, that does not force. I pray for you to receive a heart that compels and never restricts, and a love that completes you and gives you something beyond the drives of the “natural heart” that deceives you. This love draws you and traps you into believing that following your heart is good and noble, when truly, a heart that is unrestrained is like a flood of water bursting its dam and wreaking havoc and destruction to all who are near it.
You cannot stop me from praying for you... and I do not pray for your destruction. I do not pray that you will be forced or enslaved, but instead that you would be freed to say on your own—and without hesitation—that you desire something Divine. I do not pray for your behavior to be modified. I do not pray that you will stop your behaviors or that you would not continue to be “who you are”. My prayer for you is that you would encounter the One who is Divine. The One who fills you and completes you, satisfies and truly loves you with the heart of a healing Father that understands how you were created. He is the Author and the gift of life and He shows us how to live it to its fullest! He is the One who died to free you, and the One Who won the ability to take you from the thoughts and drives and addictions that demoralize you, enslave you and condemn you. The One who loves you and watches you and seeks you; the One who will never force you or disrespect you; the One who will stand by and honor your choices even if it means your ultimate demise and eternal non-existence while you pursue your “FREEDOM” here.
I do not condemn you, you condemn yourself.
But when I pray....it gives this Divine One permission to invite you and help you see through the darkness of your drives, to see that there is a Person that saw everything that was done to you and what you have done to others and He sees your infinite value and recognizes that you cannot choose any different than what you have chosen.
But with your permission, He steps in and reaches down to your level and knows what you’ve been through because He has been there too. He identifies with your “natural drives” and with your “born that way” tendencies (Hebrews 4:15). He lifts you higher than any therapies or indoctrinations that this world can give you. Higher than what you can experience on your own, or what man can enrich you with his vain philosophies.
If I did not care for you, I would leave you to your thoughts and the belief that your sexual freedom was just that...freedom. I would stand with you and fight with you for the things that are best for you.
But I cannot, because I see the road ahead. I have been there myself. And I know the emptiness and the degradation of what my life had become by my choices and by my natural inclinations.
I pray to spare you from those things, but I, like the Divine One, cannot stop you from choosing those things. And I cannot support you in your ultimate demise and destruction of your heart and mind through the pursuit of what your natural heart seeks after.
The greatest and the most terrible reality is the freedom that we have to choose. It is the gift of the Creator that we can be the masters of our own destiny. No one can take this precious gift from you.
Do not be deceived, because I am not your enemy or your foe. I am for you! I believe that you can pull through and find the freedom that drives you for something more satisfying and fulfilling. My prayer is that you will find this—and have the strength to see it and its value—and to forsake everything that the world says is safe and natural. May you discover that there is something higher than your human hands can reach, and through that fog, the Creator and Redeemer reaches down through this dark world that is clouded by sensuality. When you see your limitations and helplessness and you stretch your arms to Him, He swoops you up in those arms that were, nailed apart on wood, to restrain His power that now -can hold you, heal you and satisfy those deep longings that had been always elusive.
You have the right to choose, but you cannot escape the consequences of that freedom to choose. And I will continue to pray; as someone who loves you and wants your ultimate happiness and peace.
