I want to congratulate Scott Ritsema and The Village Church in Berrien Springs for inviting Dr. Peter McCullough to their symposium on Covid coercion and freedom of conscience. I especially want to thank Village senior pastor Ron Kelly and his staff for their courage.
Dr. McCullough is what is known as a “heavy hitter.” He is an academic physician with multiple degrees who specializes in cardiology and epidemiology. He has almost 700 published papers, more than anyone in the entire history of his academic sub-specialty, cardio-nephrology. His academic credentials are not in question.
Then why did Nick Miller call the eminently well-qualified Dr. McCullough a “non-Adventist conspiracy theorist [speaking] on issues in which he is not an expert and has demonstrated a profound mishandling of the science”?
Last I checked, Nick Miller was not a doctor or a scientist, yet he deems himself qualified to judge which doctors are trustworthy and which doctors must be silenced, and he has placed Dr. McCullough in the “must be silenced” category.
It helps to understand that the Left utterly despises freedom of speech. They hate it with a passion that normal people can never comprehend. There is no freedom of speech in precincts the Left controls, including academia, government, big business, and, most importantly, social media, which is where most speech and news consumption takes place today. On Face Book, YouTube and Twitter, there is room for only one narrative, the official narrative of the ruling oligarchy.
Unfortunately, Covid-19 was completely political--100% political, one million percent political--from the beginning—probably from well before the beginning. At this point, a person’s views about aspects of Covid or the vaccine are reliable indicia of whether he is of the Left or the right.
There might be an exception to that rule for doctors, some of whom are hesitant (a newly popular word) to admit that their profession was taken over by the Left during the Left’s “long march through the institutions,” and hence are inclined to believe the official propaganda, the party line.
But by and large, there is a liberal and a conservative position on the usefulness of masks, on shutdowns, on the virulence of Covid-19, the effectiveness of anti-viral therapeutics such as Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine, the safety and efficacy of the vaccines, the accuracy of the PCR test, the accuracy of CDC statistics, the accuracy of the VAERS system, etc.
Perhaps the most corrosive and unbridgeable divide between Left and right is whether we trust the institutions. Since the Left owns and controls all the institutions—the CDC, NIH, FDA, HHS, AMA, and the elite medical schools and clinics, to name just a few institutions relevant to this issue—naturally they trust them. And naturally conservatives do not trust them.
Dr. McCullough is taking the conservative point of view, but he is not alone. At this point there are many doctors willing to publicly speak out and challenge the official propaganda. There are serious problems with this vaccine. Very serious problems.
Why the rush to make the vaccine mandatory, especially now that it is very clear that the vaccine does not prevent infections? What is the public health logic in forcing people to take a vaccine that everyone now admits does not prevent infections and does not prevent the spread of the virus? The most that is now claimed for the jab is that it usually prevents the disease from progressing to severe illness and death. Assuming that this is true, the only ones harmed by not taking the vaccine are those who do not take the vaccine. There is every reason to believe that vaccinated persons are just as likely—if not more likely—to spread the virus as the unvaccinated.
The ruling oligarchy is most insistent that there be no treatment for Covid. The Wuhan Flu must be a death sentence to further their political purposes of terrorizing the population and stripping the deplorables of their freedom, most importantly their freedom of movement and their freedom to earn a living.
Dr. McCullough early on took the position that Covid should be treated, and that cheap and readily available anti-viral drugs such as hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin are very effective if used early in the disease process, or for prophylaxis, thereby earning himself the eternal enmity of the ruling elites.
