Is The GC PARL Director Seeking Solidarity or Ecumenism?

Dear Church Community,

You may be wondering, as I have in the past, what the difference is between Ecumenism and Solidarity.  According to author Malachi Martin, ecumenism was a term and practice employed by the Catholic Church to initially reconcile Christians back to Rome by healing Protestant “heretical rifts” that stood between the two. Later, this invitation was extended to other religions, and focused on leveling differences between Christians and nonbelievers. Finally, the net was widened to include the secular community, including “terrorists, Socialists and Communists.”[1]  Since these latter groups were not religious, the coming together was then to be called solidarity. Said Martin:

The fundamental struggle in which the Church and all Catholics were engaged was no longer the personal war between Christ as Savior and Lucifer as the Cosmic Adversary of the Most High in the quest for men’s souls.  The struggle was no longer on the supernatural plane at all, in fact. It was in the material circumstances of the tangible, sociopolitical here and now.  It was the class struggle Marx and Lenin had propounded as the only worthwhile combat zone for humans.  Liberation was, therefore, no longer release from sin and its dire effects.  It was the struggle against oppression by big capital and by the authoritarian colonialist powers of the West – particularly the United States [Protestantism] as the archvillain of all human history.[2]

I have assembled this two-year timeline regarding Ecumenical/Solidarity events that are occurring in front of our eyes.  I am asking you, my church community, please do not wait on our GC leaders to rectify this.  Please do something.

• March 4, 2022      Ash Wednesday at Advent(ist) Health various locations

• Feb 27, 2022      Interfaith Prayer for Ukraine held at Catholic Cathedral[3]

• Feb 19, 2022      President of Zambia meets with Pope on Sabbath Morning.[4] Pastor criticized and no  longer a member of SDA church.

• Feb 12, 2022       SDA Pastor Bows to Golden Image[5] Same Pastor who turned in Walter Veith to the German government for “anti-Semitism.”

• Jan 26, 2022      ADCOM re-affirms historic Adventist position on Papacy and Revelation to the Adventist community.  Not to global leaders through Dr. Ganoune Diop, however. [6]

• January 19, 2022   Dr. Ganoune Diop and Solidarity discourse.  Trans-European Covid Symposium [7]

• Oct 12-14, 2021    Dr. Ganoune Diop participated in the Conference of the World Christian Communions. [8]

• Aug 07, 2021    President Ted Wilson says Papacy is the Beast Power to the Adventist Community. Not to global leaders through Dr. Ganoune Diop, however.[9]

• April 21, 2021  Religious Soft Diplomacy book written by Jesuit Author and coauthor Dr. Ganoune Diop (ch.5). Released for sale on Amazon.com.   

• April 6, 2021 Dr. Ganoune Diop participates in G20 Interfaith Forum and Pope John XXIII for Religious Freedom Foundation.[10]

• Jan 20-22, 2021  SDA Pastors Gionatan Breci and Michele Abiusi meet with Archbishop for week of Prayer[11]

• Oct 20-22, 2020 Dr. Ganoune Diop praises Pope’s Fratelli Tutti Encyclical [12]

• Sept 3, 2020 Dr. Ganoune Diop sings Canticle of Creation to New Age gods. [13]

• Aug 28, 2020  Dr. Ganoune Diop’s interview with Georgetown University Jesuits[14]

• Dec 19, 2019 Dr. Ganoune Diop is currently completing Ph.D at “Holy See-approved” University – Institut Catholique de Paris
