Wood Paneling Is Now Racist. And Sexist . . .

It's hard to believe that there is something that won’t offend college students anymore.  But just when you thought that the level of absurdity with regard to what college snowflakes find offensive has finally peaked, they surprise us yet again.  This time their concern is how wood paneling marginalizes minorities.  Huh?

Anna Wibbelman thinks wood paneling is sexist.  And racist.  And all-around bad.  That’s why she wants it torn out of the Student Union Building at the University of Michigan.

According to The College Fix, Anna Wibbelman, stated at a student government meeting in late March, (per the meeting minutes) that “minority students felt marginalized by quiet, imposing masculine paneling” found throughout the 100-year-old historic Michigan Union building.

If you are having trouble figuring out how this could possibly be offensive to anyone, then you are not alone.  Congratulations.  You are a normal human being.

Now, since practically the ENTIRE UNION building is covered with the dark wood paneling, removing it would be not only super expensive, but it would also completely change the character of the building.   But no price is too big when it comes to preventing snowflakes from being triggered.  Right?

Well thankfully, the school’s administration seems to have no intention of changing the wood paneling, and said to the College Fix that the triggered students haven’t made their panel-removing demands “official” in any way.  I’m not sure what’ll happen if they do, but I do hope that the university holds firm on this.

Wood paneling is marginalizing to minorities now, y’all.  This is where we are.  And some of our Adventist campuses aren't TOO far behind.  They're not quite there yet, but give them a couple years.

"Great peace have they which love Thy Law and nothing shall offend them" (Psalm 119:165).
