During a time when our current President has drawn the thankless task of dealing with the Chinese Virus (COVID-19) problem, the former President attempts to score political points by linking the virus to climate change.
Former President: Agreed to help mobilize 100 billion dollars for Climate Finance by 2020 from the US and developed countries. Obama joined America to the Paris Climate Treaty on August 29, 2016; made several half-billion dollar donations to the Green Climate Fund, the last one a couple days before the 2017 Inauguration. The Pope praises him.
Current President: Unsigns the US from the Paris Climate Treaty. Says we need to protect American autonomy and American jobs as a priority. The Pope is grumpy about this.
Along with Obama (and a bevy of lefty environmentalists) the Pope is now trying to link the Chinese Coronavirus to climate change / global warming. No doubt frustrated that the virus has canceled his May 14 Global Pact event, he is blaming Trump for the Chinese virus. You may think of it as a pontifical “How dare you??”
Watch for a renewed push to enact global climate policies in the wake of the aforementioned pandemic, when the smoke clears. Former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown is already calling for a global government to address pandemics etc.. The United Nations is also heavily invested into geopolitical climate control over our world, with some PARL individuals cheering them on. There is a lot of money, power and influence aligned against God’s Remnant, friends. But we have a Friend that “sticks closer than a brother” (Proverbs 18:24).
The biblical truth is that seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night shall not cease until this earth is destroyed by fire from the Lord on That Day (Genesis 8:22; 2 Peter 3:10). It is not an anthropogenic-curated old earth that we are looking for, but rather a better city and a new earth (Revelation 21:1, 19; Hebrews 13:14; 11:10,16). Keep looking up, dear ones; our redemption is getting closer (Luke 21:28).
