WSJ—According to the United States Department of Energy, the COVID-19 pandemic came from a laboratory leak in China.
The lab leak position is a big shift from the Department of Energy’s prior stance, which was previously undecided.
The intelligence behind the Department of Energy’s changed position is unknown, because US officials in possession of the report are declining to reveal details of its contents. Meanwhile . .
White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan rejected this Wall Street Journal (WSJ) report which stated that a US Department of Energy study concluded that the Covid-19 pandemic was likely the result of a failure of safety practices at a laboratory in Wuhan, China, stating that there is “not a definitive answer” as to the true origins of the virus.
It doesn’t take a lot of smarts to conclude that the Covid-19 coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan China originated at the Wuhan Institute of Virology which researches and tweaks… you guessed it…coronaviruses. The Chinese lab leak theory, however, was dismissed as a conspiracy theory. Anyone who suggested it was called “xenophobic.
Even a comedian was surprised at the pushback he received when he stated on air that the novel coronavirus Covid-19 probably leaked from a lab in Wuhan that studies and tweaks novel coronaviruses. He stated in essence:
If the town of Hershey, PA suddenly experienced chocolate rivers running in the streets we would rightfully conclude that the large chocolate plant there was the origin of the problem. Same with the Wuhan Institute of Virology which studies and creates coronaviruses.
This was obviously the case but the legacy media kept covering it up.
Throughout 2020 and 2021, the legacy media in America repeatedly mocked and ridiculed claims that Covid-19 was the result of a lab leak in Wuhan, calling them rumors and conspiracy theories. They mocked the testimony of Wuhan workers that several staff members were sick in late 2019 with a mystery illness just before the outbreak of Covid-19.
In 2021, a prominent Chinese defector made the startling claim that Beijing may have used an athletics tournament to spread Covid-19 around the world. Such a claim makes Covid-19 not accidental but intentional. He was also mocked by the liberal legacy media.
Now the Department of Energy has concluded that the “Wuhan virus” leaked from the Wuhan laboratory.
