Charlie Kirk, the conservative, Christian youth organizer has been shot in the neck by a sniper at an event at Utah Valley University. He lost a lot of blood and the prognosis is not good. Please pray for him, urgently. [Update: Charlie Kirk has passed away]
Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, often does events at college campuses in which he takes questions from all comers. He encourages girls to reject feminism and become mothers; he encourages young men to reject hook-up culture and get married, and become fathers and providers.
Charlie Kirk is serious about Christianity and, as we have noted several times, Charlie Kirk and his wife are Sabbath-keepers. He and his wife discovered the Sabbath truth through their personal study of the Scriptures, and began keeping it in late 2021. During the Sabbath hours, Charlie shuts off his phone off and puts it in a drawer. He has invited audiences to observe the Sabbath, saying that it will make your life better, and that it was important enough to God that He made it one of His Ten Commandments. He also said the Sabbath predates the giving of the law at Sinai, as God Himself rested after the creation.
Charlie has also participated at events with Seventh-day Adventists, including most recently at a Wisdom Pearl event in Phoenix.
College campuses today are the lair of the beast from the abyss of Revelation 11, that is, radical, atheistic, God-hating Leftism. The radical Left that emerged as terrorists during the Vietnam War era abandoned (temporarily) violent revolution and began a “long march through the institutions,” beginning with Academia. Today, the Left controls America’s system of higher education, and college campuses have become very dark places.
Charlie Kirk has been a missionary of Christianity and decency to those places, and he has received many death threats. He is always accompanied by security, at least two bodyguards, but the sniper who shot Charlie in the jugular was positioned some 200 yards away.
