Not to be outdone by the Central States Conference’s effort to turn the Charlie Kirk assassination into a jeremiad about nationalism, racism, xenophobia, sexism, and “other discriminatory ideologies”, the Southwest Region Conference simply added, We agree with them!
In this setting, ‘nationalism’ is likely anti-patriotism, racism is the religion of anti-racism, xenophobia is likely an open border affirmation, sexism is pro WO, and ‘other discriminatory ideologies’ is left up to the reader to interpret. It could mean LGBTQ causes or fat-shaming. We don’t know yet. Perhaps they will clarify what the nebulous “other discriminatory ideologies” means.
Interestingly, the affirmation of the Southwest Conference of the CSC statement, is itself an affirmation of Cryston Josiah’s social media post on September 12.
It remains to be seen if another regional conference will affirm the Southwest Conference, who affirmed the Central States Conference who affirmed Cryston Josiah’s Facebook post.
We’ll see how it goes.
