Tucker Carlson Interviews James Tour

A few months ago, Tucker Carlson interviewed Dr. James Tour, a specialist in organic chemistry at Rice University in Houston.

I’ve posted a lecture by Dr. Tour before, but this long form interview has many interesting points, beyond the impossibility of getting life from non-life. He discussed the dangers of genetic engineering, more general problems with the theory of evolution, such as the fact that genetic mutations never lead to new body plans, evidence for the existence of God, the attacks on Dr. Tour for pointing out the difficulties with evolutionary theory, etc.

Dr. Tour also gives his own testimony of coming to Jesus Christ. This is especially interesting given that Dr. Tour is Jewish. He remembers the day, November 7, 1977, when he came to the Lord. He was given a dream in which he was telling people about Jesus, and he has since come to realize that God was showing him how he would live his life:

“If I go a week without leading somebody to Jesus, without leading them to faith in Christ and faith in His resurrection from the dead, that’s a wasted week for me.”

Especially poignant is his story of trying to lead his secular Jewish mom and dad to Christ; if that doesn’t bring tears to your eyes, you’re much tougher than I am.

This is an hour and forty-five minutes, but well worth the time.
