Lonnie Meleshenko tells a story at the 2024 3ABN (37:00 minute mark) camp meeting.
Ellen White says that when we pray, the brain emits electrical impulses. Dr. Arlene Taylor (an Adventist) from the Saint Helena Hospital reports about non-Christian brain surgeons doing research on prayer.
In blind studies, scientists put electrodes on people’s heads. When you pray, say for someone who is in intensive care in Orlando Florida, something happens in the brain of that person you are praying for. Unbelieving scientists are seeing this, and they don’t like it. It’s spooky to them!
Dr. Taylor also says that when you read something spiritual, these brain specialists have discovered that when you read a devotional for 12-minutes a day (out loud) you can possibly reverse dementia and Alzheimers. This is science. They don’t understand it, but they are discovering it.
Adventists used to be people of the Book. Today, we are 14th on the list of denominations who read and study God’s word, according to George Barna. 14th.
We used to be #1.
