January 18, 2026 Gerry Wagoner

Village Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sabbath. Nice job, Michigan.

Part 2

Lunch was fantastic! Big thanks to Jim Hippler and his wife for providing me with a superb lunch. I ate it with John Zirkle and others. Nice to see John again.

Things are happening fast. Distinctions are disappearing. They sure are. Among them are the distinctions between male and female, good and evil, Creator and creation etc…

We should not be looking to establishing a kingdom on earth. Or a union of church and state. Marxism is actually a union between church and state, atheism is a religion.

What’s happening today?

Project 2025 is dominated by Catholics (maybe they should rename it to 2026).

People leave political office and join think tanks. Heritage Foundation is a think tank.

There is a fight going on to bring Sunday laws into USA. No one is fighting against it in Washington. 7 mountain mandate (Isaiah 2:2). Make nation disciples, not people. Sunday is coming. Vatican II was the origin of the ecumenical movement—Bring churches together. Social and moral action. Abortion is perfect issue to fight together on.

United Nations

Bringing countries together. The UN is an ecumenical movement of the nations. Ecosoc mirrors the ecumenical movement. Our official church statements mirror the United Nations Ecosoc.

A new faithful website is calling for the Seventh-day Adventist church to leave the U.N. Faithful Adventists.org. Go there and sign it, please! This new website also calls for separation of church and state. It makes as much sense to be part of U.N. as the ten kings passage in Revelation 17 (dry humor).

The founders of this website recently wrote an open letter to U.N. secretary general and copied nation ambassadors. You can download the letter here.

Jehovah Witness members demanded that they leave U.N. and they did. Our church is less responsive to the concerns of members. Haughty leaders.

Communism itself is a union of church and state. Church is atheism.

U.S. is the only nation that has freedom of speech still. Maybe some small island nations.

The Papacy has tentacles everywhere. Deeep. The Holy See is a holdover from Europe’s old regime. They use religion to dominate/influence political power. They have a big voice in the United Nations.

The Church must be separated from the state. We are a living church lashed to a dead state. In order to call someone out of Babylon, we have to be out ourselves.

We have big shoes to fill. We are the last man standing. We are Protestants with a last day message.

Alan Hoffman

Alan is a doctor from Dayton Ohio. This year we celebrate the 250th year anniversary of the USA. Religious liberty is superior to religious tolerance (Europe).

Liberty of Conscience is in the Bible

  • Romans 9:1. The Bible testifies of God’s love, so does our conscience.

  • Where the spirit of the lord is there is liberty (2 Corinthians 3:13-16) .

  • Gal. 4:3-7

  • Steps to Christ 64.2

  • 1 Thessalonians 5:23

WHO Pandemic Treaty

This is not good. UN dec of human rights Article 29.2.3. Eleanor Roosevelt helped write this.

PREP Act 2005 was a reaction to anthrax etc. public health emergencies. It indemnifies government entities from law suits. Suspends civil rights.

Who is the WHO?

It is a wing of …you guessed it…the United Nations. The SDA Church leaders were submissive to the WHO during Covid, as you might expect. So were 90% of Adventist physicians.

They are trying to get a Pandemic Agreement in place for the next pandemic. Vote was 124 in favor, 11 abstentions. Russia, Israel, Slovakia and others abstained. It passed — Bad stuff. It needs 60 to ratify. Not there yet. Maybe by May 2026.

WHO claims to be concerned about inequities. They are, as long as it suits their agenda. Common good is popular during emergencies, we heard it a lot during Covid, we will probably hear it again. The WHO pretends to know what is best for you.

The prognosis for this world is set. It’s terminal.

Who Do You Fear?

The common good is opposed to reliance upon God. Concern for others is fine, just don’t be a fearful people.

  • Ephesians 1:4-5: Common good is already provided.

  • 1 Peter 1:2 Elect according to foreknowledge. Christ has paid the election price.

  • John 1:17 Grace peace and salvation.

  • Romans 8:28-31

If God is for us WHO can be against us?

Barry Bussey

Barry is an attorney in Canada. There, he fights for religious freedom.

Canada is having serious liberty problems. Most of us knew this as we watched that petty potentate Trudeau over the last 6 years. Especially how he treated the truckers who protested his tyrannical policies. The Canadian Supreme Court ruled last Friday (finally) that Trudeau’s Emergency Powers Act against the truckers was unconstitutional. What was their rush, eh?

Barry’s great GrandFather was lost in the SS Southern Cross ship (Joseph Bussey). There is a lesson there.

Take cover when a storm blows. Religious freedom is in trouble in western nations. Tyrants desperately want to remove freedoms under the guise of safety. We saw this vividly in 2020-2023. We see it today in Australia, England, and we saw it in the Biden administration.

Canada became a country because they didn’t want to be Americans —1867. This was interesting. Canada became a country because the North won the civil war, and they had mostly sided with the South. After four years of Civil War, Canadians worried the North might turn its military northward in retaliation or expansionism. So they became a country in 1867.

The UK is a shell of a country now. True, they are collapsing from suicidal immigration and rabid political correctness that caters to Islam and LGBTQ+ agendas.

Canadian provinces don’t get all along. Alberta is the Texas of the north (conservative). They chafed under the hard leftism of Justin Trudeau, the disgraced Prime Minister of Canada. Quebec is also talking about secession.

Quote: “The past is like a strange country, they do different things there.”

Church and state are not separate in Canada— not really. Canada is 60% Christian — used to be 90%. The CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) is a propaganda arm of the government. Similar to the legacy media in the United States, except the legacy media is the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party in the US.

Canada is in stress. The rise of an administrative state is imminent in Canada. The Canadian constitution is 24 documents. Ours is four pages. There is room for unlimited interpretation in the Canadian Constitution.

Bill C-9 is a real problem. It claims to be combatting hate in Canada. It’s totalitarian overreach, often referred to as the Tweet by Tweet Act. It will probably pass in a few weeks. It defines hate as extreme emotion or despising another person online. If you villify someone else, you could be arrested and charged. This is already happening in the UK. It gives prosecutors the power to decide if what you say is hate crime. Leftists love this Bill. We hope it fails.

Barry Bussey is the author of a new book. We recommend it.

So the meeting ended at 5 PM sharp. It was a very good meeting. There were lots of people there, and the spirit was upbeat and refreshing.

One reason I travel 4+ hours to these meetings in Berrien Springs, is that they are on the cutting edge of religious liberty. They report on important events and occurances around the world and United States from a biblical conservative perspective. I get 10x better information about current events and trends here that I ever get from PARL. PARL on the other hand, reports on events from a very liberal perspective; the only thing that seems to matter to them is sunday law and Orange Man Bad.

In my humble opinion, the people participating in this meeting in Berrien Springs are the defacto religious liberty source in the SDA church, they give the partisan PARL some much-needed healthy competition and balance.

I headed home at 1:30, driving through steady snow until around Warsaw. While the weather was cold, the experience was warm and uplifting.

PS. Ron Kelly’s AMI Ministry will have a multi-day open house on August 20. You won’t want to miss that.

I don’t either..

Stay sharp, love God and walk in truth.

This letter reaffirms the world church’s biblical teaching on human sexuality and created identity. More importantly, it warns that some Adventist schools have accommodated unbiblical views, and rightly states that the Conference cannot encourage families to send youth to such schools.
