Walla Walla Student and Flight Instructor Survive Plane Crash

An aviation student and WWU flight instructor were safe after the plane they were in crash landed on February 28.

The accident involving a Piper Arrow airplane occurred around 9 AM on February 28th.  

The aircraft went down in the Blue Mountains near Tollgate, Oregon.  This is a short flying distance from the Walla Walla University in Washington State. The University has not officially released the names of the individuals involved in the incident.

Both student and Instructor walked away from the accident, by God's grace.  Rescue personnel were notified.  The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the accident.
