NAD Year End Meeting Agenda Seeks to Expand Ordination And Gender Inclusivity

October 27, 2023 NewsHound

The NAD Year-end Meeting is an annual business meeting for leaders in the North American Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Over the last several years, it has been a vehicle to enact more liberal policies in the division, and this year is no exception.

NAD2023 YeM Agenda

Gender Inclusiveness

The language on lines 14-18 was placed in the 2023 GC Annual Council Agenda. We are happy to say that it was scrubbed from the GCAC23 agenda, raising legitimate questions about who placed it there in the first place?

Unfortunately, it is in the NAD YeM agenda and will likely pass. The way this item is worded opens the door for any and all gender identities, and marital status’, be it polyamory, same-sex ‘marriage’ and other deviations that the LGBTQ+ agenda has pre-approved. This is a dangerous new step.

The NAD WO Agenda

Women’s ordination is the wedge issue of choice for the North American Division. They have pushed this agenda since 1990 and are determined to win at any cost. Unfortunately the cost is church unity, scriptural fidelity, rebellion, and the oncoming rainbow freight-train headed towards us at full speed. One day we will look back and count the cost of this rebellion in the NAD and say “Souls were lost because of this agenda.”

It’s still here.

  • They want to replace the words Ministerial Interns with “Pastors in the Pre-ordained/Pre-commissioned Internship.”

  • They want to eliminate the words “He” in the description of union and conference presidents.

  • They want to make ordination a local experience.

They also want to outsource mandatory criminal background checks for church employees, officers, and local volunteers associated with ministry. We are opposed to sex offenders, of course, and we are also opposed to outsourcing background checks on church members to secular sources. There are much better ways.

The NAD is also moving the World Church into the background and themselves into the foreground in several places in this agenda. Not surprising, as the NAD decision to keep more tithe and send less to the world field bespeaks of pride and self focus.

There will be more observations and updates as they become available. Stay tuned and be blessed!
