This story is getting stranger and stranger.

The Gaithersburg SDA church rents a building from the Church of the Brethren at 7412 Muncaster Mill Rd, Gaithersburg, MD. According to online sources, the ‘pastor’ got a key from the Church of the Brethren caretaker and entered the church building while the [SDA] congregation was worshiping in a park yesterday.

According to the Iglesia Adventista del Septimo Dia (Gaithersburg)'s Facebook page, the pastor of the Gaithersburg SDA church—who threatened to dissolve the Gaithersburg Church board—took about $10,000 worth of equipment from the Gaithersburg church building yesterday while the congregation was meeting for outside worship (Exodus 20:15). This message, along with various comments of support was publicly posted on the Gaithersburg SDA Facebook page.

Another source is the Baluarte Facebook page, an Hispanic SDA social media outlet,

“#Developing | Threats follow! Pastor Jonas Baca, dismantles equipment of the Gaithersburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church for keeping their invitation to Esteban Bohr.

Through Baluarte , we received reports that during yesterday morning, while the Gaithersburg Adventist Church was celebrating Divine Liturgy outdoors, having been expelled from the church building by Pastor Jonas Baca, he was with his underage son pulling out worship equipment sound and video of temple.

The sound equipment extracted from the church premises would cost about $10,000.. He also took a computer, two new speakers, with only four months of use. He left without a TV/monitor that he couldn't extract because it was attached to the wall.

We have also received a message from one of the church elders, whose name remains anonymous, where we can understand the injustice and suffering of our brothers in Gaithersburg and are urged to pray for them and their grave situation. Here it is explained in detail the situation and the series of events that took place yesterday in the temple of the Adventist Church:

Good morning family in Christ, thank you so much for your support, this comforts our hearts. Because we know there are many who are not kneeling before Baal. I'm a board of the church, it's sad, it hurts to see like this who is called pastor Jonás Baca with his son, yesterday Saturday, when we were in the park worshipping our God, when they were going to sing the doxology to start the divine worship, calls him the owner of the church (because it's a church we rent), the Elder who is appointed to communicate with the owner of the church who was, because the pastor Jonás Baca was taking out all the church things and wanted the key to the sound room where was the sound crew, because they were taking everything the church, with their whole life's effort, had bought.

When the elders of our church arrived to open the door where the sound equipment was, the pastor Jonás Baca already had chairs, tables, pulpits, everything, everything of the church outside. It's sad my brothers, that at the time I was supposed to be in church preaching he was in church robbing, robbing our church and threatening our Elders who will have great consequences because we are letting them know the abuses, overtickings they are doing to us, it's so shameful that the owner of the church who knows that day we worship Our God and keep that day, the pastor was looting our church with his son who is underage, teaching him to steal and plunder on the Lord's Day.

My brothers, it hurts, because it is the gospel that I believed since my 10 years that I knew this message and I never thought that this country, which is the country of the free, they are doing this to us. But they can do what they want us—our Trust, our Loyalty to God will remain Firm. We, our Church, will not bend or surrender. With more strength, determination and conviction we will press on till Christ comes.

People of God, No One Surrender Our Reward Is Very Near. These Pichons of demons, children of the devil will not stand with God's people. Because Our Captain knows no defeats and Jesus is Our Mighty Giant and He will defend us. Your prayers strengthen us, because instead of stopping us, they give us more Strength to keep going and preach that Our God is Coming Soon...

I want to make a call to General Conference, we are so close to you, this is happening next to you. Please DO SOMETHING, in front of you they are tearing the Sheep into pieces, they are damaging them... they are scattering... Our Church is united, strong because God is giving us that strength; and we are very clear and determined to raise the Flag of Christ, but others can be destroyed. Thank you family in Christ, keep Praying for Our Church, because they won't stop us. Our Captain goes Before Us, MARANATA!!!!! ”

The note has been edited for clarity and prolificity.

And the Lord said to him, Pass through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a sign on their foreheads of the men who groan and cry because of all the abominations that are done in the midst of it. (Ezekiel 9:4)

Written by Damián Fabio / Baluarte editor

The message was originally posted in a comment post on the official Facebook page of Gaithersburg Seventh-day Adventist Church”

Remember, all this is because the Gaithersburg SDA Church invited an ordained SDA pastor to come and preach to them.

****

“I wrote to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to be first, will not welcome us. So when I come, I will call attention to what he is doing, spreading malicious nonsense about us. Not satisfied with that, he even refuses to welcome other believers. He also stops those who want to do so and puts them out of the church” (3 John 1:9-10).

This letter reaffirms the world church’s biblical teaching on human sexuality and created identity. More importantly, it warns that some Adventist schools have accommodated unbiblical views, and rightly states that the Conference cannot encourage families to send youth to such schools.
