David Ferguson, Kris Eckenroth, Jim Moon, and Tim Cross have all left the Collegedale SDA Church in Tennessee in 2023. Makes you wonder what is happening there. Hopefully there is a process of renewal going on.
Ferguson left to join Crosswalk, the liberal church experiment started by One Project leader and co-founder Tim Gillespie.
Eckenroth is now with Retro Ministries, a group that touts '“creating space for community” and “church planting support.”
Jim Moon leaves tomorrow. According to the Accent, leaving was not his idea, but rather the conference’s.
Tim Cross is being transferred to the Cedar Ridge and Harrison SDA churches.
There is a four-person pastoral search team looking for a new pastor for the Collegedale church. Two of the members of that team are Ken Shaw and Greg King. Both of them are decent men, committed the Adventist Message.
One pastor in Georgia said,
“My hope is that they are trying to change the trajectory away from the liberality set forth by Gordon Bietz, Dave Smith, and David Ferguson.”
Pray for this search team, that God leads them to the right man/men.
