Just in case you didn’t understand that the governing authorities of states like California and New York really are evil, here’s the latest confirmation of ungodly warfare against children.
California stores with more than 500 employees will be fined for not having a "gender-neutral" toy section. Traditional boys and girls sections won't be outlawed, but a gender-neutral section must also be created.
This is government-compelled speech. The government is deciding to tell a religious person, that they have to use certain words to advertise toys, and those words might violate the belief systems of that particular business owner.
According to the legislation,
"Keeping similar items that are traditionally marketed either for girls or for boys separated makes it more difficult for the consumer to compare the products and incorrectly implies that their use by one gender is inappropriate."
Failure to comply after Jan. 1, 2024, will result in civil penalties, enforced through legal action by the state attorney general, district attorney, or city attorney, with penalties ranging from $250 to $500 for subsequent violations.
Our Commentary
What this is really about is the leftist conviction that children cannot be allowed to be children, occupying a separate world of imagination and wonder, but must be indoctrinated into their political fight as soon as possible.
They believe the only way to save the world is by turning children into confused little adults worrying about microaggressions, and experimenting with sexuality.
Play is the business of childhood. From the Victorian era onward, civilized societies worked to create ‘safe spaces’ for children to grow and learn before that became a term for whiny leftist adults. True adults protected children, preserving their innocence while they developed into unique people.
These radical leftists (like Newsom and Low) who demand safe spaces for themselves are taking them away from children. Children are being put to work, not in factories, which would be kinder by comparison, but in radical causes designed to destroy their innocence.
Children, especially young children, implicitly trust adults and their parents. If they’re told that the world is about to end (aka Thunberg), that they’re racists, or that they have to experiment with gender, they believe it.
Adults who act like children are insisting that children have to become adults. They’re two halves of the same tarnished coin.
This aggressive push to embed sexual politics into elementary schools and now department stores is how dysfunctional adults, including some teachers, prioritize their own confused sexual religion over the welfare of children. And the Lord has something to say about it,
“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea” (Matthew 18:6).
