Black Adventist Professor Accuses GYC of Being Racist

August 16, 2024 NewsHound

The Conscience and Justice Council is a group of ‘religious liberty’ directors and left-leaning SDA polilibs (political liberals).

In February 2023, Edward Woods and Cryston Josiah hosted an online Polilib PARL meeting to celebrate black history month. Keith Burton was the main speaker. Keith is on the faculty at AdventHealth University. In his monologue, he accused GYC of having an anti-black agenda. He also accuses Ted Wilson, Ed Zinke and the Church Manual of racial abuse. His diatribe starts at 37:00:

What happens when you mix social justice ideology, left wing politics, and a few Seventh-day Adventist beliefs into a weird stew seasoned with wokeness and critical race theory? You get a group just like this.

GYC is not racist—the accusation is ludicrous. From their founding, they (GYC) have sought to lead young people closer to Jesus and uphold biblical standards, regardless of color or ethnicity. They show up on Burton’s black list simply because they prefer sacred music and discourage raucous worship.

The modern proponents of critical race theory fuse academic beliefs in subconscious systemic racism and black nationalist convictions that America and white people are inherently evil. In the church, these same people accuse Adventism of systemic racism and white privilege. They insert just enough out-of-context Bible verses to make their Adventist apartheid look ‘faithy’, but it’s actually a liberal theocracy.

When the government tells you what to do, it risks becoming a tyranny, but when it starts telling you what to think, it becomes a theocracy. Same with SDA polilib wokesters worshiping in the religion of racism.

CRT

Critical race theory, like most of America’s experiments in secular theocracy, came out of academia whose ‘experts’ fail miserably when it comes to tangible real-world results, but excel at telling people what to think.

In America, classic racism has diminished, but the religious, emotional and financial need for its existence on the part of the religion of racism did not.  Their mission became manufacturing racism. As we see above, the most mundane interactions are reinterpreted through the discriminating eye of the microaggression.  Otherwise neutral institutions were accused of pervasive whiteness.  Racism ceased to be an observable interaction between individuals and became the unseen gluonic binding block of all social matter in America.

The religion of racism has reached its logical conclusion.  True to social justice norms, it is no longer the absence of black people, but the presence of white people that is racist.  Racism was America’s original sin.  White people carried it everywhere with them like radiation.  To be white was to have your body and your mind, your thoughts, your writings and even the inanimate objects around you be infected by racial radioactivity.

Opposition to Obama or Jesse, poor water management decisions, infant mortality rates, environmental shifts, the vagaries of entertainment industry casting, gun violence and a thousand others could be chalked up  to racism.  In today’s woke culture, milk and math is now racist. The religion of racism, like all religion, has found something that explains everything.

Implicit Bias

What is implicit bias? To its believers, implicit bias is the notion that we are all racist, but we can be saved from our racism by confessing it. Activism is penance. Denounce others and you too can make it to multicultural heaven.

Implicit bias is the final catechism of the religion of racism. It is a pseudo-religious ritual whose purpose is to force its victims to confess their sins and assert its doctrinal belief in the innate racism of white people. Like all cults, it does this through the familiar brainwashing process of challenging and breaking down identity, through twisted reasoning and emotional abuse, and then reconstructing it in its own image.

Summary

The religion of racism has the right to believe in its ridiculous creed. What it does not have is the right to  enforce it on others.  The SDA left has made a mockery of the separation of church and state by making wokeness social justice and anti-racism its own secular religion, obsessed with national and ethnic damnation. SDA religious liberty is absolutely infested with this kind of ‘religion.’

The Conscience and Justice Council

Think we are exaggerating? The Conscience and Justice Council group is composed of the pictured individuals. Over 75% of them are affiliated with so called ‘Religious Liberty.’ All of them are SDA Polilibs.
