Eric Anderson was the editor of a recent book about Ellen White titled “Reclaiming the Prophet.” Contributing authors of this book are Niels-Erik Andreason, Denis Fortin, Lawrence T. Geraty, George Knight, Gilbert M. Valentine and others. Here is a PDF ‘sell sheet’ of the book.
The Spirit of Prophecy is both inspired and inspiring; my wife and I have been reading Patriarchs and Prophets lately, and found it very encouraging. However, some books about Ellen’s writing are not so encouraging, often undermining this precious gift, and strengthening her naysayers.
This book is listed on Amazon with a release date of July 1 2025. It is currently unavailable in the order section.
I spoke with the Pacific Press (PP) today and was told that the book will not be available or distributed further. A couple hundred copies are out there, but there won’t be any more from PP. Apparently, there are concerning elements in the book, leading to it being ‘benched’.
We don’t know how these concerning elements made it past the editorial phase. We do know that the book is now unavailable.
