Elder Larry Kirkpatrick, a frequent contributor to this website, has been elected Executive Secretary of the Northern New England Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
Larry found himself drawn to Seventh-day Adventist teachings through Amazing Facts programs hosted by Joe Cruz. Through Cruz’s ministry, and by reading Adventist literature such as “The Great Controversy” and “The Desire of Ages,” Larry was won to the Adventist message, being baptized in 1989.
During his thirty years in pastoral ministry, Larry has served in multiple conferences and churches, developing skills in church organization, policy, and leadership. Most recently, Larry was pastoring in Michigan.
Larry is enthusiastic about the Northern New England Conference's vision of “Revival in the East” and commitment to the priesthood of all believers, as well as its strong commitment to liberty of conscience. It is no secret that the Northern New Conference has stood strongly against the movement in Michigan to control the consciences of pastors and elders.
