Announcing Loud Cry International
What is it?
It is a new, lay-led initiative to equip members to fulfill the gospel commission. It launches Sept. 4-8, 2025, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Keynote speakers are Pastors Conrad Vine and Ron Kelly.
“Every true disciple is born into the kingdom of God as a missionary. He who drinks of the living water becomes a fountain of life. The receiver becomes a giver. The grace of Christ in the soul is like a spring in the desert, welling up to refresh all, and making those who are ready to perish eager to drink of the water of life.” DA 195
“Every church member who has a knowledge of the truth is expected to work while the day lasts; for the night cometh, wherein no man can work.” 9T 26
It is worth taking a moment to consider these statements. Could you carry the water of life a little farther, a little more often, to a few more people? Maybe you’re not doing much at all, but want to learn where and how to start?
The rate of change in this world is accelerating. The only way to adapt to these changes, and really the only way the work of the gospel is ever going to get done, is for everyone to pitch in. But we cannot do it in an unorganized manner.
With all of this in mind, it is a great honor to announce a new, lay-led initiative—Loud Cry International.
What is Loud Cry International? Is it unique? Yes! Not unique compared to what has gone before, but unique compared to what is happening today. Let me explain.
LCI is inspired by the work of the 19th Century missionary and Bible societies that spread the gospel around the world. These societies formed so that believers, mainly coming from local congregations that by themselves could not hope to fulfill the Great Commission, but working together, could spread the gospel everywhere.
I believe we find ourselves in much the same position today, where individual members can’t fulfill the gospel commission on their own for several reasons.
First, unorganized work doesn’t work.
Second, among members, there is a lack of skills and techniques for spreading the gospel.
And third, there may be a lack of resources.
Let’s talk about the lack of resources first. God owns the cattle on a thousand hills. So many church members have assets that do nothing except rust away or wait to form an inheritance to the next generation. The problem is not lack of resources; the problem is inspiring those resources to be used. LCI believes it can help with that inspiration.
What about skills and techniques for spreading the gospel? The spiritual skills required—a close walk with Jesus, time spent learning the scriptures, guidance from the Spirit of Prophecy— are the same as always. Nothing has changed here. But society has been changing, and there are evangelism skills that need to be learned and adapted.
Barriers to organization have drastically changed and have been drastically reduced due to advances in communication. What could have only been organized by a professional bureaucracy in the past can now be done by small group of dedicated lay people.
LCI Mission
LCI’s mission is to solve all three of the above issues — education, organization, and resource allocation— for the spread of the gospel by lay members, using our church’s greatest resource, the lay members themselves.
Soon, the Church will give the final message of the Mighty Angel of Revelation 18. As John the Revelator said, “I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with His glory.” It is the action of God’s people in giving the final warning message to come out of Babylon and take a stand for Jesus and His truth that will enlighten the earth with God’s glory.
No one will do this without the latter rain. Yet, LCI understands that no one will receive this promised latter rain unless they are seeking to improve their current opportunities to work effectively and efficiently for the Master.
Jesus says that where two or three are gathered in his name, He is there. So much the more where a consecrated group of believers is gathered. We believe that we can create an environment where fair, transparent consensus can be reached to unite the members in the work, together with Christ.
Come to our inaugural event in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Sept 4-8. Our keynote speakers will be Elders Ron Kelly and Conrad Vine. We are planning many breakout sessions, covering health, country living, religious liberty, lessons from Adventist History, personal evangelism, internet ministry, business aspects of starting a ministry, etc.—all taught by experts with the goal of making you a more effective missionary wherever the Lord is calling you. We are also planning several town-hall meetings where you, the audience, can pick the subject of discussion and the questions to be answered.
One thing is certain—it isn’t education, nor is it organization, nor is it funding that will usher in the latter rain. It is an alignment of God’s plan with the willingness and commitment of His people. It is Him calling us, and our reply, “Yes Lord, send me.”
