  • Justin Ringstaff is elected as vice president of Adventist World Radio. He will leave his position as executive secretary of the Michigan Conference, which he held since 2018.

  • Andy Im was voted in as an associate director of PARL at the GC. He was previously communications director and religious liberty leader for the Michigan Conference.

  • Todd McFarland was elected director of the GC Office of General Counsel. He was previously deputy director and served as parlimentarian for the last two General Conference Sessions (2022, 2025). Karnik Doukmetzian is retiring after 30+ years of working for the GC.

  • This morning, Nancy Wilson slipped on a wet sidewalk entering the General Conference building and broke her femur. She was taken to White Oak Medical Center and given care. She had surgery and is doing well. GWS, Sister.

  • Erton Kohler has repeatedly called for unity in the church. While that is a noble cause, until some elephants in the room are addressed and resolved, unity may remain a fleeting shadow.

  • One of those elephants is the strange alignment between the goals of the United Nations and denominational leadership. This relationship was entered into in 1985 when the General Conference became an NGO of the United Nations. Many of the ADCOM statements since 1990 are intentionally aligned with the United Nations (secular) development goals. I can almost hear James and Ellen already “They did WHAT?”

  • Ted Wilson has been defensive of the Seventh-day Adventist Church aligning itself with the UN. On July 3, he defended their relationship with United Nations, suggesting that people raising this issue were into conspiracy theories and opined that only a tiny minority of the church is concerned about it.

At the GC Session, Artur Stele announced that the GC would review concerns about their alignment with the United Nations and ADCOM statements. What is the outcome of that review, please?

This letter reaffirms the world church’s biblical teaching on human sexuality and created identity. More importantly, it warns that some Adventist schools have accommodated unbiblical views, and rightly states that the Conference cannot encourage families to send youth to such schools.
