AUSTRALIA—The South Pacific Division leaders are planning some real estate maneuvers that includes demolishing historic SDA church buildings. This has upset many members in Australia.
The leadership of Wahroonga Church are bringing together the congregation to discuss the South Pacific Division’s Property Trust’s Concept/Master Plan for the Wahroonga Estate, a plan that will have a significant impact on the future of our church and its mission. The plan includes a proposal to demolish the Wahroonga Church building to make way for a high-rise residential building. Facebook Link.
While the SPD Property Trust people have already put significant effort into this plan, they suggested in a recent Record article that they may respect a Church decision to opt out of the plan.
