Rick Remmers was elected a general vice president of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists on Sunday, October 11, during the 2026 Annual Council. General vice president Thomas Lemon (who was unable to discern any rebellion in the midst of massive denominational insurgengy after the 2015 GC Session vote against WO) will retire in 2027. The General Conference (GC) Executive Committee voted to elect Remmers, and he will take on his new responsibilities immediately.
Remmers brings more than thirty years of pastoral ministry and administrative leadership to the role, having served the Seventh-day Adventist Church at the local church, conference, union, and division levels. Most recently, he was an assistant to the president of the North American Division (NAD).
Rick was a pastor in Ohio in the early 1990’s. He did a good job there.
Observations
To Tom Lemon: We hope your retirement brings you the same level of peace you leave behind.
