ADRA is Embarrassing the Church

Another massive migrant caravan is marching through Mexico toward the US border as we enter the final weeks of the midterm election cycle. And ADRA is helping it happen.

The migrants marching in the latest caravan are mostly from Central America and they just departed Mexico’s southern border.

The Central American migrants told journalist Julio Rosas that they hope the Democrats win the midterm elections.

Last month, a migrant caravan was spotted marching toward the US border ahead of the midterm elections.

At least two NGOs are funding this caravan. According to independent reporter Anthony Aguero, “Proyecto Faro and ADRA” are the two main NGOs assisting the migrant caravan.

Tom Homan recently said the migrants will be sent back to their home countries or a third party country.

“They’ll be immediately turned around, or they’ll be arrested and prosecuted and deported,” Homan said.

“Zero releases from the border under the Trump administration. President Trump promised that. He’s going to keep that promise,” he said.

“I hope voters are paying attention,” Homan said. “Remember the images of 12,000 illegals per day coming across the border. Now they want to abolish the agency that finds them and deports them!”

Observations

Another massive Central American migrant caravan is currently marching north through Mexico toward the U.S. border in the final weeks before the midterms, with participants openly telling journalists they hope Democrats win so enforcement will ease.

Independent reporter Anthony Aguero has identified two NGOs—Proyecto Faro and ADRA (the Adventist Development and Relief Agency)—as the primary groups assisting the caravan’s logistics and support.

ADRA is an ideologically-captured arm of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, which wraps itself in the language of neutral Christian charity and “serving all without regard to political affiliation.”

ADRA has a long, documented history of taking tens of millions in USAID and State Department funds under the Biden administration to distribute cash, food, shelter, and other aid to U.S.-bound migrants across Latin America as part of UN regional immigration plans. The organization’s own past statements (including board member, Ted Wilson) dismiss accusations of facilitating irregular migration as “patently false.”

However, the timing of this caravan—where migrants themselves express a desire for Democratic victories that would reverse Trump-era border policies—makes their humanitarian branding look like a convenient fig leaf for left-aligned political facilitation rather than humanitarian relief. They know exactly what they are doing.

Some people on the theological or ideological logical left say it’s our biblical responsibility to take in every migrant.

The truth is, this issue is not nearly as cut and dried as those on the theological left let on that it is. God is a God of order, and coming in through the back door (illegal immigration) instead of the front door represents a breakdown of order when you have immigration laws in the country. As Christian believers, we support legal immigration. We do not support illegal immigration.

The only people that will be allowed in the heavenly country are those who have demonstrated their desire to be in compliance with its laws. There will be no illegal immigration into heaven. Satan is the ultimate prototype of illegal immigration, he tries to invade the New Jerusalem (Revelation 20:9-10).

It is true that the Democrats have openly violated immigration law in the hopes of getting more voters—they want to increase their voter base. Christians should not knowingly inject themselves into that agenda.

It’s embarrassing. This is not what our Adventist pioneers envisioned for our prophetic movement.
