In this Fox News “America Reports” segment, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chair of the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, discusses newly released text messages from Dr. Anthony Fauci’s government phone concerning COVID-19 vaccines and pregnant women.
Johnson explains that his team obtained and is reviewing the phone’s contents (tens of thousands of texts and hundreds of voicemails), carefully redacting personal information. He highlights an early-2021 text exchange involving Fauci, then-Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, and CDC Director Rochelle Walensky about vaccinating pregnant women. In it, Fauci notes that the second dose produces a greater cytokine storm and that additional information “could have an impact on increased miscarriages in the first trimester.” Johnson pairs this private concern with public messaging that followed.
The key text is dated January 25, 2021. On February 3, Fauci stated the FDA had found “no red flags” so far regarding pregnant women. In August, a CDC official said there was “no signal of safety concerns” in pregnancy, and later that month Fauci publicly said tens of thousands of vaccinated pregnant women followed by the CDC showed “no indication whatsoever” of increased adverse issues. Johnson describes this contrast as lying to the public and a failure to provide informed consent for what he calls experimental gene-therapy injections. He also revisits a June 2021 New England Journal of Medicine study led by CDC’s Tom Shimabukuro (then head of vaccine safety surveillance).
The paper reported 104 spontaneous abortions (miscarriages) among 827 confirmed pregnancies after vaccination—roughly 12.6%, which Johnson (citing obstetrician James Thorp) calls elevated compared with a typical ~3% rate for confirmed pregnancies. Critically, about 700 of the 827 women were vaccinated in the third trimester. Because miscarriages occur before 20 weeks, Johnson argues the relevant early-pregnancy denominator was only about 127, implying a far higher (~82%) rate among those vaccinated earlier—information he says was not properly highlighted by federal agencies. He further notes that Shimabukuro deleted emails (including copies on HHS servers), which he says warrants investigation for possible Federal Records Act violations.
Johnson connects this to broader frustrations: an April 2021 report he released alleging that an FDA algorithm under Peter Marks was designed in a way that could obscure safety signals in VAERS data (including sudden cardiac death, pulmonary issues, Bell’s palsy, and strokes). He says major media largely ignored it.
Looking ahead, Johnson states the subcommittee has invited Fauci for a private transcribed interview, citing Fauci’s prior comments that he is unafraid of congressional oversight and has nothing to hide. If Fauci does not appear voluntarily, Johnson says he will issue a subpoena.
Observations
The newly released texts highlight a clear gap between private discussion and public messaging.
Publicly, the tone was different and more reassuring, that the data they had indicated. On February 3, 2021 (about a week later), Fauci stated that the FDA had found “thus far… no red flags” among the thousands of pregnant women who had already been vaccinated. Later statements in 2021 went further—emphasizing no indication of increased adverse outcomes, recommending vaccination for pregnant women, and stressing the greater risks of COVID-19 infection itself during pregnancy. They were not—according to this latest information—being honest.
In early January 2022, there was an SDA Health Summit in Phoenix AZ, to discuss the coercive forces that were aligned liberty of conscience and informed consent. They were a breath of fresh air. While this was going on, there was a mandate by the Biden Administration to force employers to strong arm their employees into C-19 vaccination, or face significant financial penalties.
The SDA church hierarchy went right along with it. It turns out the really deadly contact during Covid wasn’t shaking hands, it was kissing up to the United Nations and medical establishment.
This pattern fits a broader pandemic dynamic: Allow only one Covid narrative, masks, mandates, lockdowns, and punish any alternative treatment of the virus, through cancelling, scorn, ridicule, marginalization, and social media octracism.
