Jim Micheff just announced that the Michigan Conference was assigning Taylor Hinkle to serve as associate pastor of the Village Church. Hinkle will work with Daniel Gordon to head up the Village Church. The members of The Village Church were not given a voice in this pastoral assignment.
Observations
In the meantime, Ron Kelly, the beloved long-standing, but recently fired pastor of the Village Church, is hosting a religious liberty event on the location of his new AMI 365 ministry. This event is well attended and runs through Saturday.
There are almost 1100 people registered for the AMI 365 event. Speakers yesterday included, Jonathan Zirkle, Greg Vatistas, Scott Ritsema, Conrad Vine, Dave Fiedler, Andrew Von Maur, and Isaac Olatunji. There is a large assortment of ministries with booths in the combined three tents of the exhibit hall.
The spirit is warm at this event, and the 90-acre AMI property is really nice. Some photos:
