Friday at AMI 365

I pulled myself out of a very comfortable hotel bed on Friday, ate a banana and went for a walk. After that I listened to the Bible while lifting weights in the exercise room.

Arriving at the AMI property, the weather was beautiful and the soil sandy. Sandy soil teaches you how to walk leaning forward, and that’s the way we should approach life, leaning into the future, ever pressing towards the mark of the high calling of God in Christ (Philippians 3:14).

Dennis Page gave a very encouraging talk, as did Tim Perenich. Then it was time to head to the airport to pick up a friend. I made it to the South Bend airport, only four minutes late. I took her her hotel room for a much-needed nap after an all-night flight.

Then we bought some Hershey Kisses for the Fulcrum7 booth; making up for it by buying blueberries and strawberries for us.

At 4 PM we went to AMI 365. Lots of people here. Bruce Cameron gave a very interesting religious liberty update. He explained the difference between rapid thinking and slow thinking. He provided updates on labor unions and how they will factor into the end times. Fascinating.

He also explained how anti-judaic sentiments played into the historic change from Sabbath to Sunday, and how the rising tide of antisemitism today will likely play into the eschatological endtime scenario.

Dr. Peter McColloch gave a fantastic presentation, explaining many things about Covid-19 that we know now, but didn’t know in 2020-2021. Fascinating. He explained how the spike protein was ‘added’ to the virus by gain of function enterprise. Wow. After his talk, Conrad and Ron Kelly came up on stage for a most memorable moment. Conrad said history marks the record of brave men who stood on principle in the face of tremendous opposition. He said Peter is one of these principled men, A spontaneous standing ovation ensued. Peter was visibly moved by the appreciation and affection he received from us. Ron Kelly reflected on the 2021 meeting where Peter McColloch spoke at the Village Church for the first time. He acknowledged that that event caused a lot of changes in the last five years, leading to where we are today. The crowd got the point, with chuckles and amens.

There is a very good spirit here. I don’t hear any criticism that the church is all bad etc. No. There is occasional disappointment for the tone deaf structure and the increasing heavy-handed tendencies among conference leaders. Love for the Advent Message is strong. People seem to enjoy being in each other’s company. This is Adventism at its finest.

Sabbath will be a big day, look for more updates. Walk with the King, and be a blessing.
