There are two battle fronts confronting Adventism right now, and they are both aspects of gender confusion. They are Women’s Ordination and the LGBTQ+ Agenda.
1. The ordination of women is being systematically forced into the Seventh-day Adventist Church by colluding Conferences and Unions. Constituency delegates (a large number of whom are church employees) are led by church administrators to support this agenda. When push comes to shove, many delegates exchange unquestioning support for the progressive agenda—for the illusion of influence. They enjoy feeling like they are insiders with the power to effect change in the church, even if that change is not in harmony with the Bible. An example:
Shortly after the NPUC delegates (62%) voted to allow conferences to ordain anyone they wish, the Oregon Conference executive committee voted (on September 20) to recommend six females for ordination. The NPUC Union will approve these ordinations, even though it is open rebellion towards three voted actions of the SDA Church in General Conference Sessions (1990, 1995, 2015). This was verified by individuals in the Oregon Conference and the NPUC headquarters. There is no opposition to this unbiblical maneuver from the General Conference, nor is there likely to be.
2. The second battle front is progressive Adventism’s fascination with and approval of homosexuality and the LGBTQ+ agenda. This freight train is driving into the church under a full head of steam, and there is no opposition from the General Conference.
There is a brilliant mechanism to address the LGBTQ+ problem that came from a local congregation in Michigan—the Coloma Seventh-day Adventist Church. Churches are encouraged to take action, and chronicle the results. If your pastor refuses to allow your church to request their Conference Committee to take action, chronicle the results. If your Conference receives the request and refuses to act on it, chronicle the results. They can be published later.
In Summary
The Oregon Conference is colluding with the NPUC to violate the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s decision on pastoral leadership and ordination. Does anyone believe they just happened to find six female candidates for ordination three weeks after the NPUC vote? Of course not. It is part of a colluded maneuver to open up a breach in the biblical outer wall of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Through that breach in our wall, the LGBTQ+ agenda is now moving. Slow at first, and then picking up steam, until the SDA church is completely infiltrated. This is an existential moment for the church.
