LaSierra Hosts Rally For LGBTQ Students And PRISM

On November 1, a group of students, alumni, faculty and LSUC (La Sierra University Church) members held a rally on La Sierra Campus to support PRISM, an LGBT+ student group at LSU.

PRISM is a group of homosexual students who attend La Sierra University. Under the guise of being a support group for students, they are dedicated to LGBTQ activism, teaching gay theology, revising history to include LGBTQ history, and getting involved with other universities and schools in Riverside, SoCal, the entire West Coast and the whole Seventh-day Adventist network.

Some Responses from La Sierra Supporters

  • “Proud of LaSU ! Loved !

  • I drove by and honked.

  • So awesome!

  • What a wonderful thing. Proud to be LaSU alumni. Great job.”

It is this kind of wrong thinking that the NAD book, Guiding Families is helping to foment throughout the North American Division.

It would be far better to meet the moral sin of LGBTQ deviation with Scriptural denunciation and clarity. Through Jesus Christ, we can overcome sin and exchange light for darkness. He is coming back to judge the world in righteousness, and we help prepare ourselves for that divine event by “making no provision for the flesh” (Romans 13:14).

A new book Line by Line has been written to provide biblical counsel for those struggling with LGBTQ sin and attraction. In it, author Wayne Blakely provides many biblical insights and 19 encouraging testimonies of people who resolved homosexual sins.

In Psalm 57, God sends forth His mercy and His truth to those who call upon Him (Psalms 57:3; Hebrews 4:16; Psalm 51:1—2). Mercy brings forgiveness into our lives, truth brings repentance from evil and leads us in paths of righteousness (Psalms 23:3; Proverbs 8:20).

There is hope. If we repent of our sins, and not celebrate them, God will save us (Acts 3:19; Proverbs 28:13). If we cling to sin, we will be cut down like a tree and destroyed in eternal fire (Matthew 7:19, 23).

“Repent therefore and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out..” (Acts 3:19).
