WASHINGTON DC — One of the most shameful and unnecessary actions by our federal bureaucracy under the regime of former President Joe Biden, aided and abetted by Dr. Deborah Birx and Dr. Anthony Fauci, was the firing of members of our armed forces who refused to accept the COVID-19 mandates.
Readers probably recall this led to the separation from service of otherwise respected and honorable servicemembers. For choosing not to take the shot, Team Biden told American servicemen "Your services are no longer needed."
That's getting fixed with a "welcome back" of sorts announcing major new change in the regulations governing "reinstatement" by the Department of War (DoW).
In a new video shared on X on Friday, Pete Hegseth speaks about "correcting the wrongs" wrought by whomever was running things in the Biden White House for four years, against these "warriors of conscience".
In short, the Department of War has altered the policy in two ways which could draw more members back to active service:
updating the length of service by reducing the commitment from four years to two years (with those who have already returned getting this retroactively, also) in the Reinstatement and Return to Service Guidance
extending the deadline to apply for any reinstatement through April 2027
This is good news for people who were unjustly fired from the military during the COVID debacle under Pres. Biden, or "COVID panic," as Hegseth calls it here. It does have a ring to it.
While we don’t reccomend military service for Adventist Christians, we are glad to see trust being restored for those who should never have been kicked out in the first place. This move is essentially an apology from the federal government, a much needed “We were wrong.”
Many companies and organizations who fired ‘warriors of conscience’ or violated liberty of conscience in 2021-2022 should do likewise.
