Shawn Boonstra is leaving Voice of Prophecy to work at the Adventist Review.
The North America Division (NAD), the entity tasked with hiring a new speaker has outsourced the job of finding a new speaker for Voice of Prophecy to FaithSearch Partners. FaithSearch Partners is located in Dallas Texas. This organization will present a list of names to the NAD search committee.
FaithSearch Partners is an executive search firm based in Dallas, Texas, focused on serving faith-based and values-centric organizations, including hospitals, healthcare systems, nonprofits, ministries, educational institutions, churches, and mission-driven for-profit companies. While they have conducted searches for Seventh-day Adventist institutions, such as Oakwood University and Southwestern Adventist University, its client base spans a broad range of faith-based organizations across various Christian denominations and other mission-driven entities.
While the man in the above video, says FaithSearch Partners is Adventist owned, there is no indication in the available information that FaithSearch Partners is exclusively affiliated with or operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
“We know that organizations struggle to find transformational Christian leadership. So we have developed a process that helps Christian organizations secure Christian leaders that will revolutionize their organizations and communities” — FaithSearch Partners
Transformational Christian Leadership
Some progressive groups use the term Transformational Christian Leadership to align with social justice or inclusive values, while conservative groups might focus on spiritual transformation or traditional biblical teachings. Some groups use it to align with spiritual formation and progressive spirituality.
For instance the Willow Creek Community Church and its related organizations, such as the Global Leadership Network (formerly Willow Creek Association), heavily emphasize leadership development that aligns with transformational leadership principles, often framed in a Christian context.
This raises a question. Why can’t the VoP board find a suitable candidate, instead of outsourcing the job to the NAD — who outsources the job to an executive firm in Dallas?
One thing you can be sure of, the NAD would love to see a woman or a progressive person in this position. Should that happen, they could deflect any criticism by saying “Well, the search firm recommended this person as the most qualified.” Transformational, man.
We’ll see how it goes.

“For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear” (2 Timothy 4:3).
